Recover

We drove into the city for the sole purpose of finding this location and taking a few snaps. Mission Accomplished. The walls were beautifully littered with graffiti with play props thrown around and the one dude who was thinking, 'what the heck are they doing?'
Moving on, today was my first day back at college after reading week and to be honest I actually missed it! Not the classes but the people, atmosphere and just the feeling that you're actually doing something during the day and not just lazying about!

Everything We Touch

So it's been awhile...I'M SORRY. I have a plethora of excuses but there's something more pressing at hand: KIM AND KANYE ARE ON THE COVER OF VOGUE. Like..what is up with that? Kanye I get but Kim...not so much, what do you think? Moving on, I'm currently off college for 'reading week' (which I've done very little of) and I've just been spending time at my mom's house chilling, eating - currently obsessed with Yorkie Raisin & Biscuit bars, and shopping - everything in H&M is amazing oh my god.
So, we took these photos in Phoenix Park in Dublin. Kevin can drive now so I'm super excited to start finding new locations! While we were driving there it started lashing rain but stopped while we took photos and recommenced when we drove away...now that was meant to be folks.

(nasty gal dress, H&M crop top, new look boots, my mom's bag, Oasap sunglasses)

Posts will be more regular now, I finally got the camera back from my sister! Oh my god, I almost forgot to mention something pretty big which is that I dyed my hair! I bleached it kind of on a whim, and wanted to go light brown. I don't think I've laughed so hard in ages; my friend and I were pissing ourselves laughing at how patchy my hair was and a week later, we bleached only certain parts so it's much better now (when you've a problem with bleach just fix it with more bleach ofc). I wasn't happy with my fringe colour so that led to a third bleaching, yup.

Hope you're all well,

FOAM

I actually got up to stuff at the weekend! My sister, her friend Tom and I decided to be all culturey and visit the museum and a photography exhibition.

On the Friday we went to the little photography exhibition. Being honest, a lot of the photos were crap and really obvious but there were a few standout ones. What made the day even better was pretending we were art critics as well as making up little/terrible stories for the work (I do appreciate good art, I swear!)

Saturday morning waiting for the bus! I'm wearing the same jacket and bag as Friday but I never took photos of the cute dress I wore :(

We made our way to the Museum of Decorative Arts and History in Dublin where, upon arrival, a really nice lady asked if we wanted to take part in a photography experiment. They had set up a camera secured in a box which you controlled with an iPad and app so that you don't have to ask strangers to take your photo, pretty smart I think. So, when asked if we wanted to do it, we decided to get a little quirky.

Afterwards, we headed to 'Foam', a really cool hipsterey yet flamboyant café. Just look at all those picture frames!

(M&S knit, bershka jeans, new look boots - new boots yay! river island hat  - old)

I had such a good time and next time we plan on heading to the museum of modern art which I think will be more interesting! That's all for now I guess, but you can find more casual and selfie photos from the day on my instagram (nasreenosman) :)

Help me procrastinate doing an assignment by letting me know what you got up to over the weekend!

Hope you're all well!

brown shoes

(bershka sweater, zara jeans)

I have NEVER worn these shoes since my 'Miranda Kerr' Inspired outfit (here) and that was in 2012. I decided to pull them out and put together an outfit. My sis recently took the camera we share and I had to pull this outfit from the archives; I never posted it last month  cause I didn't like the finished result. My camera skills have gotten better (I hope) so I cringe a little at these posts! But overall, it's not too bad and desperate times calls for okay-ish outfits. Nonetheless, I'd still wear this but switch out the shoes, I still don't love wearing brown shoes all that much. Nothing I have seems to work great with them.

In other news, I just spent all of today cleaning! I tidied up my closet, cleaned the surfaces, organized shoes, scrubbed my bathroom, vacuumed the floor AND I cooked for the family. I also got to get this post up so overall, it made for a productive day minus the fact I didn't do one bit of study.

Hope you're all well and sorry for the lack of posts!

VARSITY

(river island jacket, zara pants)

A no-fuss, easy outfit but comfy! I'm sitting here trying to think of something to say but I've literally got nothing...for one, the weather is horrible, so that's nice. I promise the next post will have something interesting to say (hopefully).

Hope you're all well,

SLOUCH

(zara jeans and top, nastygal jacket, aldo shoes)

My TYPICAL casual outfit. These pieces are the easiest to just throw on. I haven't worn this jacket in so long so I forgot that it's the teeniest bit too big - on the arms and shoulders. You probably didn't need to know that but oh well. In other news, I started playing guitar (and singing) again last night and my fingers hurt like a b****h. My favourite song at the moment is Tokyo by YUI, I used to listen to it years ago! (I listen to Japanese music, yes). I love the guitar in it so I decided to dust off the fret and play.

Every time I think of what to write as a post, I've found that I always come up with things to complain about - it's way easier to remember. I've been going to the gym so my legs and arms were hurting so badly, of course, on different days, I probably moaned about exams all of January and the weather has been the spotlight of February; just be happy I didn't complain about Valentine's Day! Oh, I also want to apologize in advance because my sister took the camera so for the next 2 weeks there won't be as many posts. I complain about that too.

Hope you're all well,
Naz x

STORM'S BREWING

(cotton on knit, zara turtleneck & skort)

It's so much easier to blame a lack of blogging on the forces you can't control, namely, the weather. Here in Ireland, as I tweeted earlier, we've basically seen it all - wind, rain, sleet, snow, hail stones. Roofs have been blowing off across the country in schools and houses; it's seriously scarf stuff. I love hearing the wind howling at night but it's reached the point where you just want it to stop! So you see, you can hardly expect me to blog in that kind of weather, do you!?

On another note, I passed all of my exams!! The day our English results were posted, my friends and I went to see a one-woman show based on the writings of Sylvia Plath and it was amazing; I totally felt everything she was saying; the lighting set each scene perfectly and it was an intimate setting with a little stage and round tables with candle centerpieces for the audience. It reminded me of a comedy club of sorts. Afterwards we had dinner and counted that as our exam celebration! Art & dinner, oh so sophisticated.

Hope you're all well,

THE FRINGE

(bershka sweater, nastygal dress)

College came back with a freaking vengeance. I feel like I've so much work to do already! Anyway, sorry for my absence, going to try work up a schedule to keep up with blogging, college and working at flawless mag. I've been glued to my phone these last few days because of NYFW - living vicariously through all those important people in the industry who help us out by taking insta videos. So far some of the collections I'm in love with are Zimmermann, Rebecca Minkoff, DKNY and Rag & Bone.
What are your favourites so far? It's seriously so hard to stay up to date!

Also, I cut my hair! I did it myself on a whim, just wanted some chaaange.

OH! I almost forgot to say a huge thank you to whoever submitted my blog to favoritefashionblogs.com, it was a great surprise getting that email, so you can check that feature out here!

Hope you're all well,

COLOUR

(vero moda cardi, zara top, vallerygirl jeans)

Apologies for the lack of interesting locations, by now you probably have an idea of the whole perimeter of my house.

How weird is it that I'm wearing coloured jeans!? Black skinny jeans are always my staple and if not that, then you'll find me wearing printed pants or a simple dress/skirt but coloured jeans...nah, never really gave it much thought.

Right now, I'm chilling on my bed listening to music and yet, the sound of the rain and wind is still making its way through; it also doesn't help that my window doesn't close fully and lets a draft in.

Hope you're all well,
Naz x

FURRY FEEL

(sparkle and fade c/o urban outfitters cardigan, forever 21 top & skirt, aldo boots)

This week is ending waay too fast. A few more days and I'm back to college. Yuck.

I can't believe I never mentioned this but I'm currently a 'Junior Sub-Editor' at Flawless Magazine! I've been working with the CEO and founder Samson since about December and so far it's been great except that exams got in the way for awhile during January! I always think it's funny how I view college as the interruption to my activities instead of the other way around. Anyway, the new issue is out where you can read an interview I wrote and there's so many great editorials and works that all aspiring fashion folk can look at!

If you're an editorial photographer, MUA, model etc that wants to submit work, email submissions@flawless-magazine.net! If they're not in the next issue, they may be featured on the website.

Hope you're all well!
