dark florals

Zara striped top and Forever 21 pants (similar)& boots

Afternooooon. Or night, evening, morning. On twitterI've been yapping on about finally going shopping and voila! here's one of the items I just purchased: dark floral jeans. Okay, so I know it's summer and something more...vibrant would've been appropriate, but I've always wanted a pair! There's something very  dark and romantic about them and so, a deep wine lipstick suited this look (MAC capricious, in case you were wondering).

Also, I've been experimenting with mixing and matching prints. In this look, I mixed two times of aztec prints and in this look, I mixed different textures. Because this outfit is quite busy, I left out accessories but kept a gold chained necklace hung around my neck.

Oh and good news, I joined the gym with my sister and I've stuck to it for more than a week! That's a big achievement for me ;)

Last thing, do you prefer bright floral patterns or dark ones?

paisley lace

Forever 21 dress

Hey guys! If you follow me on twitter/instagram, you'll know that on Saturday, I went to a Pier in Dublin and on Sunday, I went to ANOTHER Pier. We were supposed to go to the beach but it was a little further down the way! It was a beautiful day, and this delightful, paisley-lace dress really showed it's worth! It's so cute and summery but did require some care when the wind blew.

When it comes to style, I find it hard to define mine. I like to try a variety of styles but I tend to choose more "edgy elegant" pieces. Before, I was REALLY into sweaters and shirts, cute dresses and that preppy look so this dress would've been worn without any second thoughts. But today, at first, I wasn't totally digging it. I wanted to 'de-cuteify' it by wearing a spikey bracelet and Vans, instead of boots or sandals. It didn't work; the dress is too damn cute and girly but I love it.

OH and that's my sister in that last photo! D'ya think we look alike? I was thinking of doing a little photo diary, and combining the two pier days; if you'd like to see that, please let me know down in the comments  :)

So, how would you define your style? Does that change in summer?

bohemian - aztec vibes

Forever 21 crochet top & necklace | Urban Outfitters romper (sim. here) | New Look brogues (sim. & nicer here)

When you're a newbie photographer, the sun is quite hard to work with! Creative auto was my friend today. Anyway, I tend to swing back and forth between two different styles - bohemian and classic chic. So while I love structure, black and white and classic cuts, I'm also a sucker for Aztec prints, feathers and a good 'ole assortment of bracelets! For summer, the latter is more appealing; that sense of freedom, life and playfulness is contagious!
Staying stylish in the heat is easy - cute skirts, printed shorts and light, airy tops should do the trick! Don't forget some antiperspirant too ;)

I'm submitting this to IFB's #98 project summer style, if you get a chance, you should submit something!

So, what's your summer style? Classic chic? laid back and boho? Something else altogether? I'd love to know!

dual colored jeans + kimono cardigan

Urban Outfitters cardigan (sim. here w/o print) | Miss Selfridge necklace | Zara top | River Island jeans | New Look boots |

Hey guys, so because it's summer and I'm posting more often, I now have less to say...sad times. But on to the outfit, I love these jeans! I can't lie, they're aren't mine - one of the many perks of having two sisters. Between the fancy jeans and the floral baroque-style pattern of the cardigan, I felt it was best to throw on a simple grey tee or else there'd just be too much going on. Also, the boots are studded so there's enough glam to go around!

What do you think of dual colored jeans?
Until next time,
