bohemian - aztec vibes

Forever 21 crochet top & necklace | Urban Outfitters romper (sim. here) | New Look brogues (sim. & nicer here)

When you're a newbie photographer, the sun is quite hard to work with! Creative auto was my friend today. Anyway, I tend to swing back and forth between two different styles - bohemian and classic chic. So while I love structure, black and white and classic cuts, I'm also a sucker for Aztec prints, feathers and a good 'ole assortment of bracelets! For summer, the latter is more appealing; that sense of freedom, life and playfulness is contagious!
Staying stylish in the heat is easy - cute skirts, printed shorts and light, airy tops should do the trick! Don't forget some antiperspirant too ;)

I'm submitting this to IFB's #98 project summer style, if you get a chance, you should submit something!

So, what's your summer style? Classic chic? laid back and boho? Something else altogether? I'd love to know!

jacquard oxblood

Zara jacquard trousers
Urban Outfitters shirt
New Look jacket
(Photos by Kevin Ferguson)

Hey guys, so it was ONE degree the day we took these photos. So of course I layered up (hence the slight snow man puffiness-sorry :P) you probably already know but oxblood is everywhere and when I saw these trousers in Zara I had to get them! There's a really nice embroidery on it that you can see from one of the pictures, it was made on a Jacquard loom. What trends have you been sporting lately? :)
Soon I'm going to be doing a guest post about...something. Oh the anticipation. So I'm really excited to do it and you'll just have to wait and see what that's all about! Hope the weeks treating you well :)

P.S thanks for the great response to my last post about shy blogging. I might be doing a follow up soon since I haven't seen this being dealt with anywhere, let me know what you think about that :)

military duties

Zara jacket and jeans
Urban Outfitters tee

It's fall. Time to tone down to basics, mute colors, sweaters and unwind with the nice, warm pumpkin latte you ordered from Starbucks...well that or you could sport the latest trends (with the pumpkin latte of course). Everyone knows that military clothing is very in this season and I'm loving it. It's time to toughen up your look and add some edge. Yes, I probably went full on commando by adding the leather jacket and military boots but it just felt right. Of course you could do the complete opposite and pair it with chic strappy heels (Zara always have amazing heels) and a basic v-neck tee in a color of your choice, oh and don't forget to roll up the ends of the trousers to show off those amazing ankles! But its cold outside..so cold and you need to cosy up into a jacket. What kind of jacket you say? This is where a faux fur jacket comes in handy! Again, I purchased one recently from Zara and it's a lifesaver. A leather jacket can of course be worn too but layer up underneath and throw on a big scarf for protection against the icy winds...it really is a battle out there ;)
